Dr. Joey Rodgers
5 Marks is the personal ministry of Dr. Joey Rodgers. Dr. Rodgers currently serves as the Lead Pastor of First Baptist Church in Peachtree City, Georgia. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman University with a B.A. in Religion; and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Religious Education and a D.Ed.Min. in Leadership and Organizational Management.
Throughout more than 35 years of ministry and professional leadership, Joey has served churches, ministries, and marketplace organizations of various sizes across Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, Texas, New Mexico, Norway, and Germany. These diverse experiences have given him a wealth of practical insight that he is passionate about sharing with individuals and organizations seeking to grow, lead effectively, and thrive. His primary areas of focus include personal disciple making, global missions, leadership coaching, and organizational consulting.
At the heart of Joey’s ministry is a desire to help people move beyond empty religion and discover an authentic, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. His personal mission is to rescue the religious from religion and introduce all people to an intimate relationship with Jesus.
Dr. Rodgers is the author and editor of numerous disciple-making, leadership, and family resources, including IT Matters: Finding True North When Life Loses Its Bearings; Unsinkable: Learning to Walk the Talk of Faith; The Lost Commission: Rediscovering the Call to Make Disciples; The Disciple’s Pathway Devotional Series; and The GROW in the Word Devotional Series. Joey is also a certified Corpus Pathfinder and Coach.
Joey is married to Meg, and together they are the proud parents of four grown children. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, watching spy movies, cruising around Peachtree City in a golf cart, and supporting his children as they pursue their God-given dreams and callings.
