Week 9 | Day 1 – GO AND TELL – Romans 10:14-15
Because the gospel is for everyone, everywhere, God has entrusted us—those who’ve believed—to carry it. We are His hands, feet, and voice. This requires that the good news must be lived and spoken by a life that looks like Jesus to earn the right to talk about Him with others. Paul goes so far to say that is nothing more beautiful than the feet of those who live and carry the good news of Jesus to the world their lives intersect with on a daily basis—beautiful not because they’re perfect, but because they willing and expectantly go.
APPLICATION
1 - Be the Message—Share the Message
Let your everyday choices—integrity, compassion, humility—give weight to your words so that your actions and words can give an account of the hope that is within you (see 1 Peter 3:15). Ask—do my actions make Jesus believable to my neighbor?
2 - Pray—Walk—Speak (in that order)
Begin each day praying for opportunities—walk into them attentively with your spiritual radar turned on—and as the opportunity arises, speak the name of Jesus with gentleness and clarity when God opens a door (see Colossians 4:3–6).
3 - Earn the Right to Be Heard
If you love people well, they will almost always be willing to listen to you. To love well requires that we listen to their stories, meet them at the point of their need, serve them in love, and keep our promises. Credibility always creates curiosity.
4 - Name Your Mission Field
Write down three names—someone far from God, someone questioning, and someone who’s wandered away from the faith. Pray daily them. Seek to serve them weekly. And ask God to open a door to share the truth of the Gospel with them when prompted.
5 - Trust the Spirit—Not Your Eloquence
You carry the message, but the Spirit carries the power (see Acts 1:8). Because it is impossible to live the Christian life independently of the Holy Spirit, we must listen and be led by the Spirit in our witness. So, walk in the Spirit because spiritual, Great Commission courage grows from a settled salvation and an intimate walk with God.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You for trusting me with Your Gospel. Today, let my life look like Your love—clear, kind, and compelling. Arrange my steps to intersect with those who need Your grace. Give me beautiful feet that go, a life that shows, and a voice that speaks Your name with courage, gentleness, and hope. Fill me with Your Spirit so that Jesus in me can live through me—for the good of others and the glory of Your name. Amen.
